CyberLink SoftDMA Selected by Toshiba to be bundled with Toshiba Qosmio G40 AV notebook
Taipei, Taiwan----September 21, 2007----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a leader in digital home solutions, announced today that CyberLink SoftDMA is shipped with Toshiba Qosmio G40 AV notebook in Japan. The combination offers a digital home solution allowing users to watch recorded HDTV programs stored on DLNA-compliant devices from their Toshiba notebook with SoftDMA.
CyberLink SoftDMA is a software-based digital media adapter that lets users access their photos, videos, music, and recorded HDTV content over a UPnP/DTCP-IP network. With its DRM support, SoftDMA offers a secured way to stream protected content over the home network. Plus, SoftDMA can automatically detect available DLNA media servers in the home network, and makes it easy to turn the Toshiba Qosmio AV notebook PC into a portable media and TV device at home.
"Digital Home is about streaming content from one device to another," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "In a world of increasing digital media and home connectivity, CyberLink has worked with industry leaders to shape the digital media ecosystem. We are happy to partner with Toshiba to demonstrate how easy it is for users to enjoy their content from anywhere at home with SoftDMA," said Alice H. Chang.
